Covered Homeowner exists because most new homeowners get their first introduction to mortgage protection insurance from a piece of mail designed to scare them into a phone call.

I'm a licensed life insurance agent. I sell both mortgage protection insurance and term life insurance, which means I don't have a horse in the race — I just want new homeowners to end up in the right product for their family.

This site is the resource I wish my own clients had access to before they ever spoke to an agent: plain-English explanations, real math, and an honest comparison of what the policies actually do.
